The dynamic nature of modern society, encompassing financial, political, social, and technological realms, has resulted in swift transformations within the Thai economy and educational landscape. These changes, coupled with the inherent uncertainty they bring, have generated a significant demand for individuals with strong mathematical skills, both in applied and theoretical contexts, within the workforce. Recognizing this need, the Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers a doctoral degree to provide advanced training in this field which meets international standards.
Ph.D. graduates from this program will be well-equipped to pursue careers as lecturers, researchers, scientists, or consultants in educational institutions or enterprises.
Ph.D. in Statistics (International Program)
Nowadays, there is an increasing trend of postgraduate students pursuing degrees in Statistics and Mathematics. However, the availability of educational institutes offering doctoral degrees in these fields is limited in Thailand. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Faculty of Science and Technology, recognizes the importance of expanding the body of statistical knowledge at the doctoral level to meet international standards and address the needs of society. As a result, this program was established.
The Doctor of Philosophy graduates from this program are equipped to work in various sectors. They can pursue careers in educational institutions, government agencies involved in data collection and analysis, private or state-owned enterprises, and also work as researchers or statisticians. The graduates are well-prepared to contribute their expertise and serve society in these diverse roles.
