Admission Requirements:

  • Applicants must have completed/be completing Mathayom 6 in a scientific-mathematic academic course having earned no fewer than 22 credits in Fundamental and Advanced Science (including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology), and no fewer than 12 credits in Fundamental and Advanced Mathematics.

Tuition (per term):

  • 800 Baht per credit

Curriculum Description:

The Financial Mathematics program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in the application of mathematical models in finance. The curriculum emphasizes market analysis, pricing, and financial planning.

This program aims to give students a solid grasp of the fundamentals of financial mathematics which can lead to employment in finance or for the purpose of solving advanced mathematical problems for dealing with complex financial situations.

Core subjects include ordinary differential equations, linear algebra, mathematical analysis, numerical methods, introduction to abstract algebra, and complex variable functions. The program also offers specialized courses in financial mathematics, such as Introduction to Economics, Introduction to Accounting, data science for financial mathematics, mathematics for Investment in the stock market, financial mathematics, quantitative financial analysis, mathematical financial derivatives, securitization, industry-standard software for industrial and financial use, probability, fundamental applied stochastic processes, financial time series analysis, scheduling, game theory, and optimization techniques.

 Students will improve their research skills by taking part in special projects no.1-2 and gaining practical experience through internships with leading organizations. The program ensures that students receive up-to-date knowledge through training, seminars, and collaborations with internal and external agencies.

Internship or Co-operative Education

Students may apply for an internship with a leading government or private organization within the Faculty of Science and Technology’s network. (Internship takes place during summer of Year 3.)
