Admission Requirements:

  • Applicants must have completed/be completing Mathayom 6 in a scientific-mathematic academic course having earned no fewer than 22 credits in Fundamental and Advanced Science (including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology), and no fewer than 12 credits in Fundamental and Advanced Mathematics.

“Tackling tough problems, crafting sustainable solutions, exploring applied mathematics @TU”

Curriculum Description:

The bachelor of science in applied mathematics program aims to produce graduates with expertise in many fields that are rooted in mathematics, statistics, and computer science.
(e.g. calculus, statistics, linear programming, mathematical models, data mining, linear algebra, differential equations, numerical methods, Organized Mathematics, Applied Probability and Stochastic Processes, computer programming, etc.)

Furthermore, the course focuses on applied sciences such as computers, operational research, science and business simulation. Students also have the opportunity to study minor courses such as actuarial science, financial mathematics, and statistics.

We place great importance on the development of graduates’ potential in thinking, analytical, and cognitive skills for problem-solving. This objective is achieved through problem-solving subjects, seminars, and projects. Graduates are expected to stay updated with technological advancements and be able to operate effectively in the modern era’s business circles. Additionally, the program encourages entrepreneurial skills development.

Internship or Co-operative Education

Students may apply for an internship with a leading government or private organization within the Faculty of Science and Technology’s network. (Internship will take place during summer of Year 3 and can be domestic or abroad.)

Opportunities for higher education:

Graduates can apply for a Master’s degree with the Faculty of Science and Technology, Thammasat University, or further their education with other leading institutions’ mathematics, statistics, or computer-science programs both domestically and abroad.
